If you not only want to generate your own solar power, but also use it after sunset, then we have the perfect solution for you: our SolMate. All you need is a sunny spot for a few solar panels and an outdoor socket. It doesn’t matter whether you mount the panels on a balcony, flat roof, façade or in the garden – we have the right mounting option for every location.
Functionality
The power of the sun releases electrons in your solar panels. The direct current generated is used to charge your electricity storage unit. If SolMate now detects an electricity consumption in your home, the energy generated is fed in via an inverter and made available to your consumers.

Why should you choose a system with storage? If a classic balcony power plant produces more electricity than is needed in the household, the surplus is donated to the grid operator by feeding it into the public grid. LiFePO4 batteries offer a higher level of safety compared to conventional lithium-ion batteries as they are less susceptible to thermal instability and fires or explosions are less likely to occur. They are exceptionally durable and temperature insensitive, which gives them the ability to handle a large number of charge cycles and therefore be cost-efficient in the long term.
LiFePO4 batteries are also much more environmentally friendly. They contain no harmful materials such as cobalt, which in turn facilitates disposal and recycling. Finally, they perform excellently in harsh temperature conditions, especially in the cold. They are therefore predestined for outdoor applications and cold environments, even though they work most efficiently at 20 °C and have a longer service life.

NETD – THE SMART MEASUREMENT TECHNOLOGY
The intelligent measuring technology recognises how much electricity is currently being used in the household via the connection to the socket. It uses small voltage changes in the household grid to determine whether an electrical appliance is being switched on or off and how much power this appliance requires. So when you switch on the TV, SolMate immediately detects the increased power consumption and feeds in power according to demand.

YOUR POWER SOURCE FOR EMERGENCIES
Thanks to SolMate, you can not only generate your own solar power, but also store it. This is particularly helpful in an emergency: the socket integrated into the storage unit means you can supply your most important appliances with energy even in the event of a blackout. In addition, SolMate can be operated autonomously, i.e. independently of the power grid, and supplies your most important electrical appliances with solar power in the event of a power failure. So SolMate won't leave you in the dark.
